Assembly Resolution Recognizes Contribution of California Lupus Organizations and Proclaims Lupus Awareness Month
On Thursday, May 23, 2013, the California State Assembly passed H.R. 16 proclaiming May as the Lupus Awareness Month and recognizing the critical contributions of the Lupus Foundation of Northern California, Lupus LA and the Lupus Foundation of Southern California in San Diego. The resolution reads, in part:

Resolved, by the Assembly of the State of California, That the Assembly proclaims May 2013 as Lupus Awareness Month and extends heartfelt wishes to the Lupus Foundation of Northern California in San Jose, the Lupus Foundation of Southern California in San Diego, and Lupus LA in Los Angeles for success in their core objectives in the future...

We at LFNC would like to extend special thanks to Assemblymember and Speaker Pro-tem Nora Campos, who has spearheaded this resolution this year and last. Assemblymember Campos has been a steadfast ally and a tireless advocate for our cause.

We would also like to thank our partners in Los Angeles and San Diego for all they do in advancing the cause bridging the gap between a life with lupus and one without.
